Later you will need to instruct, monitor and motivate your child to help maintain good dental habits. MY WORD: Your child's teeth will last a lifetime if taken care of early in life.

PARENTS: Parents should remind themselves that complex and fine motor skills take time to develop. Offer experiences that stregthen skills already learned. Provide material and tools that broaden the range of creativity. You will discover art all around in local architecture, monuments, bill boards, a park's design, the patterns of streets and signs as well as in traditional arts and crafts. And of course in your child's creativity. MY WORD: Have an art wall set up in the house for your child's drawings and other creativity they produce.

PARENTS:Children who read well come from homes in which there are plenty of books, magazines, and newspapers and in which everyone reads (parents, brothers , sisters and other family members). Their parents encourage reading and make time for it. It's clear that the family enjoys reading. MY WORD: visit the library it has an excellent source of books and other materials for children

PARENTS: Some children have trouble digesting lactose, the natural sugar found in milk and milk products. Symptoms of lactose intolerance include stomach pain, diarrhea, bloating, and gas. If your children have problems with lactose, talk to your doctor. MY WORD: Chocolate and other flavored milks have just as much calcium as plain milk.
